About Us

The roots of Rylance Racing dates back to 2007, when team owner Adam Rylance first stepped into a go-kart at the age of 7. Five years later, he got started racing karts competitively, working his way up from local club events at home in the Northeast United States to national-level racing. Throughout these years of racing and working his way up the ranks, Rylance demonstrated an exceptional ability to self-analyze, critique, and make the necessary adjustments to improve his performance—garnering him a great amount of success as a driver. 

It wasn’t long before Adam started utilizing his ability to critique and analyze to help other drivers. Getting his first experience as a coach in 2016, he went on to run a small team in 2017 and 2018, unofficially named PSL Northeast. Although a very basic and humble operation, it proved to be a success, with multiple wins, podiums and championships to its name—and laid the foundation for future endeavors, including the Rylance Racing team he runs today. 

Upon relocating to Colorado in 2019 and beginning his time as a student at the University of Colorado Boulder, Rylance had to start from zero in establishing himself in the region’s karting industry. Having built up a strong reputation at his former home in the Northeast, he now entered into a new area as an unknown entity. Adam found his new home at Point Karting in 2020, where he accepted a position as the team’s new driver coach. As he embedded himself in the Point Karting program, Adam’s effect became evident. By 2021, Point Karting was transformed into a force to be reckoned with on the regional karting scene. 

Point Karting’s success continued until the end of 2022, when the team unfortunately folded due its owner relocating out of the area. In this time of uncertainty, there was now a large hole in the local karting industry, and the team of drivers Adam had worked with over the past few years sat in limbo. So Adam, along with co-owner Brian Clark, founded Rylance Racing; the team which would fill the void left by Point Karting. With a vast amount of experience under his belt, Adam was ready to put all of his knowledge and expertise to use, to provide the highest level of karting service and hospitality available in Colorado.

Now in its third year of operation, Rylance Racing has established itself as a powerhouse within Colorado karting, and keeps getting stronger. Despite its young age, the team has already enjoyed vast success and helped a multitude of drivers reach their motorsports goals. The team has supplied many drivers with the tools and knowledge they need to win, and has also become the premier starting point for any Colorado-based drivers looking to get started in karting—Rylance’s Intro to Karting program has been an invaluable starting point for drivers who have gone on to race as part of our team.
